At the end of reading this book is almost impossible not to feel orphaned by Mame, a woman so unusual as to be irresistible.
The main character is the little Patrick, Mame's nephew, who is an orphan and is under the care of her aunt, a very rich woman, a lover of beauty in all its forms, eccentric and very, very bright. Somewhere I read that is likened to a modern Mary Poppins, but in all honesty Mame is much more fun and irreverent, the nanny of Walt Disney.
Drag your nephew, sometimes complacent, sometimes reticent, in a whirlwind of adventures created by his tireless hustle and unconsciousness, and it is impossible to get bored and do not cheer for her, which eventually manages to extricate himself from any catch with innate charm.
